Tour Plan

Day 1

  • Arrive at Leh airport and transfer to your hotel
  • Rest and acclimatize to the high altitude
  • In the afternoon, visit the Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist white-domed stupa on a hilltop that offers panoramic views of the city and the surrounding mountains
  • Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay

Day 2

  • After breakfast, drive to the Hemis National Park, the largest national park in India and home to rare species of animals such as the snow leopard, Asiatic ibex, and Himalayan tahr
  • Go for a short hike or a wildlife safari in the park
  • In the afternoon, visit the Thiksey Monastery, a prominent Tibetan Buddhist monastery that houses a 15-meter-high statue of Maitreya Buddha
  • Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay

Day 3

  • After breakfast, drive to the Nubra Valley, also known as the Valley of Flowers, located about 150 km north of Leh
  • Cross the Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world at an altitude of 5,359 meters
  • Visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley that houses a 32-meter-high statue of Maitreya Buddha
  • Enjoy a camel ride on the sand dunes of Hunder
  • Return to your campsite for dinner and overnight stay

Day 4

  • After breakfast, drive back to Leh
  • En route, visit the Alchi Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that houses some of the oldest and finest surviving examples of Indo-Tibetan art
  • Visit the Magnetic Hill, a gravity hill that appears to be pulling vehicles uphill against gravity
  • Visit the Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers, a beautiful spot where the two rivers meet and flow together
  • Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay

Day 5

Depart from Leh airport for your onward journey
